Rejoicing, they’ve come forth to the meeting of mendicants in the wood. From Mount Sātā there are three thousand spirits of different colors. They’re powerful and brilliant, so beautiful and glorious. Rejoicing, they’ve come forth to the meeting of mendicants in the wood. And thus there are sixteen thousand earth-gods of Kapilavatthu.
歓喜しつつ、彼らは森の比丘（びく）たちの集いへと進み出た。
サーター山より三千の夜叉（やっきゃ）たちが、さまざまな色形をまといて現れた。
神通力（いっぢひ）に富み、光輝を放ち、麗しき姿をそなえ、功徳の誉れ高き者どもよ。
歓喜しつつ、彼らは森の比丘たちの集いへと進み出た。
かくして、カピラヴァットゥ（迦毘羅衛）の地に宿る一万六千の地の神々もまた、ここに集いたるなり。
