“The gods rejoice— the thirty-three with their Lord— revering the Realized One, and the clear rightness of the teaching; and seeing the new gods, so beautiful and glorious, who have come here after leading the spiritual life under the Buddha! Then the gods of the thirty-three, having considered and deliberated on the matter for which they were seated together in the Hall of Clear Right, advised and instructed the four great kings on the subject. 「三十三天（さんじゅうさんてん）の諸天は、帝釈天（たいしゃくてん）とともに喜び楽しんでいる――如来（にょらい）を礼拝し奉り、また法（ダンマ）の清らかなる正しさを崇めつつ。そして新たに生まれ来たれる諸天を見て、その光輝ある姿と威光の麗しさに歓喜す。彼らは善逝（スガタ）のもとにて梵行（ぼんぎょう）を修め、ここに至り来たれるものなり。」
さて、尊者よ、三十三天の諸天が善法堂（スダンマー・サバー）において一堂に会し集いし目的の事柄を、熟慮し審議し終えたのち、その事柄につき四大王（しだいおう）に対して教示し指示した言葉が述べられた。また四大王もまた、その事柄につき応答の言葉をもって答え奉った。かくして各々はおのれの座にあって、その場を離れることなく立ちておられたのである。
