This is the extent of the worthy Gotama’s praise that I have memorized. But his praises are not confined to this, for the praise of the worthy Gotama is limitless. 「私がここに暗唱いたしましたのは、尊きゴータマ師の徳の称讃のほんの一端に過ぎません。しかしながら、尊きゴータマ師の称讃はこれにとどまるものではなく、その功徳は量り知れないものがあります。これらの特質（アンガ）のうち、ただ一つを具えるだけであっても、尊きゴータマ師がわざわざ私のもとにお越しになることは相応しくなく、むしろ私どもの方こそ、かの尊きゴータマ師のもとに参上すべきでありましょう。されば、皆の衆よ、われらがこぞって沙門ゴータマ師のもとへ拝眉に赴こうではありませんか。」
かの沙門ゴータマ師は、母方・父方の両系において由緒正しくお生まれになり、その血統（ゴッタ）は清らかに保たれ、七代の祖先（ピタマハ）に遡っても、何ら非難されるいわれなく、また疑いをさしはさむ余地もないのであります。
