「比丘たちよ、四つのことを具えた者に対して、神々は喜び、共通することとして讃嘆する。いかなる四つかというと。まず、聖なる弟子は仏陀に対して体験的な信を有している……ここを去りて彼処に生まれ変わった神々の中に、仏陀への体験的な信を有する者たちがいる。彼らはこのように思う。『かくのごとき仏陀への体験的な信を具えて、我らは彼処を去り、ここに生まれ来たれり。この聖なる弟子もまた同じ種の仏陀への体験的な信を具えているゆえ、彼もまた……』」
