Furthermore, a noble disciple has experiential confidence in the teaching … the Saṅgha … Furthermore, a noble disciple’s ethical conduct is loved by the noble ones, unbroken, impeccable
舎衛城にて。「比丘たちよ、未だ清められざる者を清め、未だ浄化されざる者を浄化せんがための、四つの天の足跡というものがある。いかなる四つであるか。まず第一に、聖なる弟子は仏陀に対して体験に基づく信を有する……これが、未だ清められざる者を清め、未だ浄化されざる者を浄化せんがための、第一の天の足跡である。さらに、聖なる弟子は法に対して体験に基づく信を有する……僧伽に対しても然り……さらにまた、聖なる弟子の持戒は聖者たちに愛でられ、破れることなく、非の打ちどころなきものである」
