“Channaṁ, bhikkhave, pātubhāvo dullabho lokasmiṁ. Katamesaṁ channaṁ? Tathāgatassa arahato sammāsambuddhassa pātubhāvo dullabho lokasmiṁ, tathāgatappaveditassa dhammavinayassa desetā puggalo dullabho lokasmiṁ, ariyāyatane paccājāti dullabhā lokasmiṁ, indriyānaṁ avekallatā dullabhā lokasmiṁ, ajaḷatā aneḷamūgatā dullabhā lokasmiṁ, kusale dhamme chando dullabho lokasmiṁ. Imesaṁ kho, bhikkhave, channaṁ pātubhāvo dullabho lokasmin”ti.
“Mendicants, the appearance of six things is rare in the world. What six? A Realized One, a perfected one, a fully awakened Buddha. A teacher of the teaching and training proclaimed by a Realized One. Rebirth in a civilized region. Unimpaired sense faculties. Being bright and clever. Enthusiasm for skillful qualities. The appearance of these six things is rare in the world.”
「比丘たちよ、六つのものの出現は、この世において得難い。いかなる六つか。如来、応供、正遍知たる仏陀の出現。如来によって説かれた法と律を教える師の出現。文明開けた地への転生。損なわれることなき諸根の具足。聡明にして智慧ある資質。善法への精進。これら六つのものの出現は、この世において得難いものである。」
