比丘たちよ、五つの資質を備えた侍者を伴ってはなりません。五つとは何か。遠すぎず近すぎずという適切な距離を保たずに歩く者。鉢が満ちたとき、それを受け取らない者。言葉が罪過に近づきかけたとき、注意を促さない者。説法の最中に遮って口を挟む者。そして智慧なく、鈍く、愚かな者。これら五つの資質を持つ侍者を伴ってはなりません。五つの資質を備えた侍者を伴うべきです。五つとは何か。遠すぎず近すぎずという適切な距離を保って歩く者。鉢が満ちたとき、それを受け取る者。
