“Tīhi, bhikkhave, dhammehi samannāgato bhikkhu accantaniṭṭho hoti accantayogakkhemī accantabrahmacārī accantapariyosāno seṭṭho devamanussānaṁ. Katamehi tīhi? Iddhipāṭihāriyena, ādesanāpāṭihāriyena, anusāsanīpāṭihāriyena— Imehi kho, bhikkhave, tīhi dhammehi samannāgato bhikkhu accantaniṭṭho hoti accantayogakkhemī accantabrahmacārī accantapariyosāno seṭṭho devamanussānan”ti.

比丘たちよ、三つの功徳を具えた比丘は、究極の終焉に達し、軛より究極の安穏を得、究極の梵行を成就し、究極の目的を果たす。かかる者は、神々と人間の中において最勝の存在となる。三つとは何か。神通の示現、開示の示現、そして教誡の示現である。これら三つの功徳を具えた比丘は、究極の終焉に達し、軛より究極の安穏を得、究極の梵行を成就し、究極の目的を果たす。かかる者は、神々と人間の中において最勝の存在となる。
