You should graciously honor the one from whom you learn the Dhamma taught by the awakened Buddha, as a brahmin honors the sacred flame.
目覚めたる仏陀の説きたもうた法を汝に授けし師を、婆羅門が聖なる火を崇めるがごとく、汝もまた敬いて礼を尽くすべし。
