Tassā me muṭṭhassatiniyā gahito gahito mussati. Dukkaraṁ kho pana mātugāmena yāvajīvaṁ satthāraṁ anubandhituṁ. Kathaṁ nu kho mayā paṭipajjitabban”ti? Atha kho sā bhikkhunī bhikkhunīnaṁ etamatthaṁ ārocesi. Bhikkhuniyo bhikkhūnaṁ etamatthaṁ ārocesuṁ. Bhikkhū bhagavato etamatthaṁ ārocesuṁ. “Anujānāmi, bhikkhave, bhikkhūhi bhikkhunīnaṁ vinayaṁ vācetun”ti. Paṭhamabhāṇavāro niṭṭhito. Atha kho bhagavā vesāliyaṁ yathābhirantaṁ viharitvā yena sāvatthi tena cārikaṁ pakkāmi.
