Tena kho pana samayena bhikkhūnaṁ kesā dīghā honti. Bhagavato etamatthaṁ ārocesuṁ. “Ussahanti pana, bhikkhave, bhikkhū aññamaññaṁ kese oropetun”ti? Atha kho bhagavā etasmiṁ nidāne etasmiṁ pakaraṇe bhikkhusaṅghaṁ sannipātāpetvā …pe… bhikkhū āmantesi— “anujānāmi, bhikkhave, khuraṁ khurasilaṁ khurasipāṭikaṁ namatakaṁ sabbaṁ khurabhaṇḍan”ti.
