Theravāda Collection on Monastic Law The Small Division The gathering up chapter 1. Emission of semen At one time the Buddha was staying at Sāvatthī in the Jeta Grove, Anāthapiṇḍika’s Monastery. At that time Venerable Udāyī had committed one unconcealed offense of intentional emission of semen. He told the monks about this, adding, “What should I do now?” They told the Buddha. “Well then, the Sangha should give the monk Udāyī the trial period of six days for one unconcealed offense of intentional emission of semen.
