Mahānipāta Sumedhātherīgāthā Mantāvatiyā nagare, Rañño koñcassa aggamahesiyā; Dhītā āsiṁ sumedhā, Pasāditā sāsanakarehi. Anujānātha maṁ ubhayo, Pabbajituṁ dasabalassa pāvacane; Appossukkā ghaṭissaṁ, Jātimaraṇappahānāya. Kiṁ bhavagate abhinanditena, Kāyakalinā asārena; Bhavataṇhāya nirodhā, Anujānātha pabbajissāmi.
