四つの摂事（サンガハヴァットゥ）——布施（ダーナ）、愛語（ペッヤヴァッジャ）、利行（アッタチャリヤー）、同事（サマーナッタター）。
四つの非聖者の語り方（アナリヤヴォハーラ）——虚偽の言葉、離間の言葉、粗暴な言葉、無駄話。
四つの聖者の語り方（アリヤヴォハーラ）——虚偽の言葉を離れること、離間の言葉を離れること、粗暴な言葉を離れること、無駄話を離れること。
また別の四つの非聖者の語り方——見ていないのに見たと言うこと、聞いていないのに聞いたと言うこと、思量していないのに思量したと言うこと、識知していないのに識知したと言うこと。
また別の四つの聖者の語り方——見ていないならば見ていないと言うこと、聞いていないならば聞いていないと言うこと、思量していないならば思量していないと言うこと、識知していないならば識知していないと言うこと。
