“He never spoke a loud harsh word, insulting, quarrelsome, causing harm, rude, crushing the people. His speech was sweet, helpful, and courteous. He uttered words dear to the mind, going to the heart, pleasing to the ear. He enjoyed the fruit of his good verbal conduct, experiencing the fruit of good deeds in heaven. 30. 「かの方は、罵倒し、争い、傷つけ、粗野にして、人々を踏みにじるような激しく荒々しい言葉を決して口にされなかった。その言葉は甘美にして益あり、温かみに満ちていた。心に親しく、胸に響き、耳に心地よい言葉を語られた。善き語業（ごごう）の果報を享受され、天界において功徳（くどく）の果報を受けられたのである。
