they will bring presents for him. If he becomes an aristocrat, ruler of the land, he’ll gain the service of the people. But if that man goes forth, he’ll be sophisticated, proficient in the teachings. 人々はあらかじめ彼のもとに供物を捧げるであろう。
もし彼が刹帝利（くさっていり）となり、大地の支配者となれば、
多くの民の奉仕を受けるであろう。
しかしその人が出家するならば、
諸法（しょほう）に通達し、深く練達した者となり、
その教誡（きょうかい）の徳を喜び楽しむ者となり、
多くの民は彼に随い従うであろう。」
