On this it is said: His hairs stand upright, and his ankles well-shaped. Swollen with flesh and blood, encased in skin, gracing above the feet. If that sort lives in the home, he becomes the best of those who enjoy sensual pleasures. There’ll be none better than him; he’ll proceed <j>having mastered all the Black Plum Tree Land. But going forth the peerless renunciate
これについて次のように説かれている。
その御身の毛は上方へと逆立ち、
足首は（pādagaṇṭhi）よく整いたる形をなす。
肉と血とに満ち充ちて、皮膚はしっとりと包み、
足の上方を優美に飾る。
かかる御方もし在家に留まりたまわば、
欲楽（kāmabhogī）を享受する者たちの中にて最上の地位に達し、
この閻浮提（Jambudīpa）をことごとく統べおさめて、
その上をゆく者は誰一人として見出されじ。
されど出家の道を歩みたまわば、
比類なき（anomanikkamo）遍歴修行者として——
