あらゆる美味なる食を得るであろう
七・八 柔らかく網目状の手足の相について
「比丘たちよ、如来（タターガタ）は過去の生において、過去の存在において、過去の住処において、かつて人として生まれていたとき、四つの摂事（サンガハヴァットゥ）をもって人々を摂し導く者であった。すなわち、布施（ダーナ）によって、愛語（ペッヤヴァッジャ）によって、利行（アッタチャリヤー）によって、そして同事（サマナッタター）によってである。その業（カンマ）を積みたることによって……乃至……彼は天上の世界に生まれ、その処より没してここに来たり、この境涯を受けるに至って、次の二つの大人の相（マハープリサラッカナ）を得るのである。すなわち、その手と足とは柔らかくきめ細やかであり、かつ指の間に水かきのごとき網膜を具えている。これらの相を具えた者が、もし家に留まるならば、転輪聖王（チャッカヴァッティ）となる……」
