1.11. The Knowledge and Freedom of Others And moreover, sir, how the Buddha teaches the knowledge and freedom of other individuals is unsurpassable. This is unsurpassable when it comes to the knowledge and freedom of other individuals. さらにまた、尊き方よ、世尊が他の人々の解脱に関する智慧（パラプッガラヴィムッティニャーナ）をお説きになる、そのことが無上（アナッタリヤ）にございます。他の人々の解脱に関する智慧において、これこそまさに無上なるものでございます。
尊き方よ、世尊は他の人物について、如理作意（ヨーニソーマナシカーラ）によって内に照らし知られます——「この人物は、三つの結（サンニョージャナ）を滅し尽くすことによって、預流者（ソーターパンナ）となるであろう。悪趣（アヴィニパータ）に堕することなく、正覚（サンボーディ）に向かう定まれる者となるであろう」と。
尊き方よ、世尊はさらに他の人物について、如理作意によって内に照らし知られます——「この人物は、三つの結を滅し尽くし、貪・瞋・癡（ラーガ・ドーサ・モーハ）の薄らぐことによって、一来者（サカダーガーミー）となるであろう」と。
