‘Yes, Your Majesty,’ replied that man. After many thousand years had passed, that man saw that the heavenly wheel-treasure had receded back from its place. So he went to King Daḷhanemi and said, ‘Please sire, you should know that your heavenly wheel-treasure has receded back from its place.’ So the king summoned the crown prince and said, ‘Dear prince, my heavenly wheel-treasure has receded back from its place. 「御意にございます、大王様」と、その者は答えた。
それより幾千年もの歳月が流れたのち、その者は、天の輪宝（チャッカラタナ）が本来の位置より後退し、その座を離れたのを目にした。これを見て、彼はダッラネーミ王のもとへと参り、こう申し上げた。
「大王様、どうかご存じおきくださいませ。天の輪宝が、その位置より後退し、御座を離れてございます」
そこで大王ダッラネーミは、長子たる王子を召し寄せ、こう告げられた。
「いとしき王子よ、聞くところによれば、余の天の輪宝が、その位置より後退したという。転輪聖王（チャッカヴァッティ）にこのことが起こるとき、その王に残された時は、もはや長くはないと伝えられている。……」
