Pariyesanaṁpāhaṁ, devānaminda, duvidhena vadāmi— sevitabbampi, asevitabbampi. Kāyasamācārampāhaṁ, devānaminda, duvidhena vadāmi sevitabbampi asevitabbampīti iti kho panetaṁ vuttaṁ, kiñcetaṁ paṭicca vuttaṁ? 2.4. Indriyasaṁvara Itiha sakko devānamindo bhagavato bhāsitaṁ abhinanditvā anumoditvā bhagavantaṁ uttari pañhaṁ apucchi: Kāyaviññeyyaṁ phoṭṭhabbampāhaṁ, devānaminda, duvidhena vadāmi— Manoviññeyyaṁ dhammampāhaṁ, devānaminda, duvidhena vadāmi— sevitabbampi, asevitabbampī”ti. There are two kinds of search, I say: that which you should cultivate, and that which you should not cultivate. Why did I say that there are two kinds of bodily behavior? 2.4.
