彼らは雄象が縄を断ち切るがごとく、あらゆる束縛（サンニャーナ）を断ち切りて、
三十三天（タヴァティンサ）をも超え越えていった。
インドラ神（サインダ）と生主（パジャーパティ）を伴う諸天の神々は、
皆、善法堂（スダンマー）に集い坐していた。
その坐せる神々の上を、彼らは超え越えていった——
まさにかの佛陀の正しき教え（スダンマター）のゆえに、
勇者たちは離欲（ヴィラーガ）を得、塵垢（ラジャ）を離れて清浄を行じていたのである。
彼らを見て、ヴァーサヴァ（帝釈天）は深き感動（サンヴェーガ）を覚えた。
