Those of my disciples who completely understand my instructions realize the undefiled freedom of heart and freedom by wisdom in this very life. And they live having realized it with their own insight due to the ending of defilements. Of those disciples who only partly understand my instructions, some, with the ending of the five lower fetters, become reborn spontaneously. 「パンチャシカよ、わが弟子たちのうち、ことごとく完全に教え（sāsana）を了解した者たちは、諸々の漏（āsava）の滅尽によって、漏なき心解脱（cetovimuttī）と慧解脱（paññāvimuttī）とを、現世においてみずから直接知り、証得して住する。
教えをことごとく完全には了解していない者たちのうち、ある者たちは、五つの下分結（orambhāgiyasaṃyojana）の滅尽によって化生（opapātika）の者となり、かの世においてそのまま般涅槃（parinibbāna）に入り、その世界から二度と戻ることなき法（anāvattidhamma）を具える者となる。
また教えをことごとく完全には了解していない者たちのうち、ある者たちは、三つの結（saṃyojana）の滅尽によって、さらに貪（rāga）・瞋（dosa）・癡（moha）の薄らぐことによって、一来者（sakadāgāmī）となり、ただ一度この世に還り来たりて、苦しみの終わりをもたらすのである。」
