「彼の弟子たちのうち、マハーゴーヴィンダ婆羅門（まはーごーゔぃんだばらもん）の教えを余すところなく完全に理解した者たちは、すべての良家の子弟たちの出家（パッバッジャー）が、むなしくなく、実りなく終わることなく、まさに果報豊かなものとなった。世尊よ、あなたはこのことをご記憶でございますか」と。身体の滅びたのち、死後において、彼らは善き境涯（スガティ）なる梵天界（ブラフマローカ）に生まれた。教えを余すところなく理解した者たちはそのようであった。しかるに教えを完全には理解しなかった者たちは、身体の滅びたのち、死後において、ある者たちは他化自在天（パラニンミタヴァサヴァッティー）の神々のもとに生まれ、ある者たちは化楽天（ニンマーナラティー）の神々のもとに生まれ、またある者たちは兜率天（トゥシター）の神々のもとに生まれた。
