This path is the straight path, this path is supreme. Guarded by the good, the true teaching leads to rebirth in the realm of divinity.” “Well then, sir, please wait for seven years. 「この道は真っ直ぐな道、この道は無上の道。善き人々に守られたる正法（さだんま）は、梵天（ぼんてん）の世界への再生へと導く」
「さあれば、ゴーヴィンダ殿、どうか七年の間、我らとともにお待ちくだされ。七年が過ぎた後、我らもともに家を離れ、出家（しゅっけ）の道に入りましょう。あなたが赴く境地こそ、我らの境地ともなりましょう」
「されど、皆様よ、七年はあまりに長うございます。私にはそれほど待つことができませぬ。誰が知りましょうか、命あるものの行く末を。我らは来世（さんぱらーや）へと赴きつつある身。よく思惟し、目覚めなければなりませぬ。善を行じ、梵行（ぼんぎょう）を歩まなければなりませぬ。生まれたるものに、死なざるはないのですから。私はいま出家いたしましょう」
