Then the Great Steward went to the six aristocrats and said, “King Disampati has passed away. But after being anointed, King Reṇu amused himself, supplied and provided with the five kinds of sensual stimulation. Who knows the intoxicating power of sensual pleasures? そのとき、マハーゴーヴィンダ婆羅門は六人の刹帝利（クシャトリヤ）のもとへ赴き、こう告げた。
「ディサンパティ王は逝去されました。しかるに、灌頂（かんじょう）を受けてレーヌ王となられた方は、五種の欲楽（かまぐな）を具足し、満ち足りて享楽に耽っておられます。欲楽（かま）の人を迷わせる力を、誰が知りましょうか。さあ、皆さま、レーヌ王のもとへ赴き、こうお伝えください。『ディサンパティ王はすでに崩御され、あなたさまは王位の灌頂を受けられました。かつてお誓いになった言葉を、今もお覚えでございましょうか』と」
そこでレーヌ王は、近侍の一人に向かってこう命じた。「おまえ、ゴーヴィンダ婆羅門のもとへ参れ――」
