「まさにその時、私がバラモンの執事ゴーヴィンダにすべての務めをきちんと委ねて、五種の欲楽（かまぐな）を具足し充たされて楽しんでいたその折に、バラモンのゴーヴィンダは命終したのです」と。
こう言われると、友よ、王子レーヌは王ディサンパティに向かってこう申し上げた。
「尊き方よ、かの神々は、幸あるお方（スガタ）のもとで梵行（ぼんぎょう）を修めて、今まさに三十三天（さんじゅうさんてん）の衆に生まれたばかりでありますが、かれらは容色においても名声においても他の神々をはるかに超えて輝いております。
いかに麗しく、いかに栄えあることか、
幸あるお方のもとで梵行を修め、
ここに来生せし人々よ。
かれらは広大なる智慧（パññā）を具えた弟子として、
容色においても、名声においても、寿命においても、
他の神々をことごとく凌いで輝くのです。」
