“The heavenly hosts swell, while the titan hosts dwindle!” A large assembly of gods was sitting all around, and the four great kings were seated at the four quarters. 広大なる天の集会が四方に居並び、四大天王（してんのう）もまた四方に座していた。東方を守護する持国天王（じこくてんのう）ドゥタラッタは、みずからの眷属（けんぞく）なる神々を率いて、西に面して座していた。南方を守護する増長天王（ぞうちょうてんのう）ヴィルーラカは、みずからの眷属なる神々を率いて、北に面して座していた。西方を守護する広目天王（こうもくてんのう）ヴィルーパッカは、みずからの眷属なる神々を率いて、東に面して座していた。北方を守護する多聞天王（たもんてんのう）ヴェッサヴァナは、みずからの眷属なる神々を率いて、南に面して座していた。
