In each chamber a couch was spread: in the golden chamber a couch of silver; in the silver chamber a couch of gold; in the beryl chamber a couch of ivory; in the crystal chamber a couch of hardwood. それぞれの楼閣には臥床（がしょう）が設けられていた。黄金の楼閣には白銀の臥床が、白銀の楼閣には黄金の臥床が、瑠璃（るり）の楼閣には象牙の臥床が、水晶の楼閣には堅木（けんぼく）の臥床が、おのおの整えられていた。
