his birth mother was Queen Pabhāvatī, and their capital city was named Aruṇavatī. Vessabhū’s father was King Suppatita, his birth mother was Queen Vassavatī, and their capital city was named Anoma. Soon after the Buddha left, those mendicants discussed among themselves: “It’s incredible, reverends, it’s amazing! The Realized One has such psychic power and might! For he is able to recollect the birth, names, clans, lifespan, chief disciples, and gatherings of disciples of the Buddhas of the past
その生母はパバーヴァティー（Pabhāvatī）妃であり、都城はアルナヴァティー（Aruṇavatī）と呼ばれた。ヴェッサブー（Vessabhū）世尊・応供・正等覚者の父王はスッパティタ（Suppatita）王であり、生母はヴァッサヴァティー（Vassavatī）妃であった。その都城はアノマー（Anomā）と称された。
さて、世尊が立ち去られてまもなく、比丘たちの間にこのような語らいが起こった。
「友よ、まことに不思議なことかな、友よ、まことに希有なることかな。如来（タターガタ）の大いなる神通力と大いなる威徳とは、いかに広大なることか。如来はよく、過去において般涅槃（パリニッバーナ）に入られた、戯論（パパンチャ）の絶えたる諸仏の、誕生・名前・種姓・寿命・上首弟子・弟子の集いをことごとく憶念したもうのである」
