his birth mother was Queen Bandhumatī, At that time the king was Kikī, whose capital city was named Varanasi. In this life, my father was King Suddhodana, my birth mother was Queen Māyā, and our capital city was Kapilavatthu.” That is what the Buddha said. When he had spoken, the Holy One got up from his seat and entered his dwelling. and their capital city was named Bandhumatī. Sikhī’s father was King Aruṇa,
彼の生母はバンドゥマティー（Bandhumatī）妃であった。比丘たちよ、そのとき、キキー（Kikī）という王がいた。キキー王の王都はヴァーラーナシー（Bārāṇasī）と呼ばれた。比丘たちよ、この世において、わが父はスッドーダナ（Suddhodana）王であり、生母はマーヤー（Māyā）妃であり、わが王都はカピラヴァットゥ（Kapilavatthu）であった」と。
これを世尊（Bhagavā）は説き給うた。かく説き終えて、善逝（Sugata）は座より立ち上がり、精舎（vihāra）へと入り給うた。
バンドゥマ（Bandhumā）王の王都はバンドゥマティー（Bandhumatī）と呼ばれた。比丘たちよ、阿羅漢（Arahant）にして正等覚者（Sammāsambuddha）たる世尊シキー（Sikhī）の父は、アルナ（Aruṇa）王であった。
