「われらは尊き瞿曇（ゴータマ）を不当に誹謗したくはないのです」と。
かくして心が三昧（さんまい）に入ったとき、その心を知見（ちけん）へと向け、傾けていく……これもまた、かの者の慧（え）の具足（ぐそく）に属することである。……かの者は「……この境地においてはもはや何も残るものはない」と了知する。これもまた、かの者の慧の具足に属することである。
カッサパよ、これがすなわち慧の具足というものである。そしてカッサパよ、この戒（かい）の具足・心の具足・慧の具足を超えて、これよりも優れ、これよりも勝れたる戒の具足・心の具足・慧の具足というものは、いかなるものも存在しないのである。
六、獅子吼（しし）の語
カッサパよ、世には戒を説くことを旨とする沙門・婆羅門（しゃもん・ばらもん）たちがいる。
