「しかし、ゴータマ尊者よ、この三種の祭祀の成就と十六の資具を備えたものよりも、またこの常施（にちじょうのふせ）よりも、この精舎の布施よりも、これらの帰依（きえ）よりも、これらの学処（がくしょ）よりも、さらに労少なく、営み少なく、しかも果大にして功徳大なる他の祭祀があるでしょうか」
第四禅（だいしぜん）に入って住する。婆羅門よ、この祭祀もまた、先の諸々の祭祀よりも労少なく、営み少なく、しかも果大にして功徳大なるものである。

智見（ちけん）のために心を傾け、心を向ける。……この祭祀もまた、先の諸々の祭祀よりも労少なく、営み少なく、しかも果大にして功徳大なるものである。
