talk nonsense … are covetous … have ill will … have wrong view and those who have right view. As to those who have wrong view, the outcome of that is theirs alone. 「邪語を語る者も、邪語を離れた者も……貪欲なる者も、貪欲を離れた者も……瞋恚（しんに）の心を抱く者も、瞋恚を離れた者も……邪見（じゃけん）を持つ者も、正見（しょうけん）を持つ者も、みなそこに集い来たらん。そのうち邪見を持つ者については、その業（ごう）の報いはひとえにその者自身に帰するのみ。されど正見を持つ者については、まさにその者どものために、王は祭祀（さいし）を執り行い、施捨（せしゃ）をなし、歓喜し、その御心を清浄ならしめるべきである』と。
バラモンよ、かくのごとき十の事柄によって、侍祭（じさい）のバラモンは、大勝王（だいしょうおう）が祭祀に先立ちて、供物を受ける者どもに対して抱いていた後悔の念を、ことごとく取り除いたのである。
