「それは可能でございます、ゴータマ尊者よ。五つの要素のうち、容姿（vaṇṇa）は除いてもよいでしょう。容姿が何をなしましょうか。」
「しかしバラモンよ、その四つの要素のうち、一つを除いて、残りの三つの要素を具えた者を、バラモンたちはバラモンと認めることができるでしょうか。」
「それは可能でございます、ゴータマ尊者よ。四つの要素のうち、呪詛（manta）は除いてもよいでしょう。呪詛が何をなしましょうか。この三つの要素を具えた者こそを、バラモンたちはバラモンと認めるのでございます。」
「しかしバラモンよ、その三つの要素のうち、一つを除いて、残りの二つの要素を具えた者を、バラモンたちはバラモンと認めることができるでしょうか。」
