the wheel, the elephant, the horse, the jewel, the woman, the householder, and the commander as the seventh treasure. He has over a thousand sons who are valiant and heroic, crushing the armies of his enemies. After conquering this land girt by sea, he reigns by principle, without rod or sword. But if he goes forth from the lay life to homelessness, he becomes a perfected one, a fully awakened Buddha, who has cast off the world’s veil. すなわち、輪宝（りんぽう）・象宝（ぞうほう）・馬宝（めほう）・珠宝（じゅほう）・女宝（にょほう）・居士宝（こじほう）、そして第七に将軍宝（しょうぐんほう）がある。彼にはまた、勇猛果敢にして敵軍を打ち砕く千人を超える息子たちがある。かくして彼は、海を境界とするこの大地を、杖によらず、刃によらず、法（ダンマ）によって征服し、統治する。しかしながら、もし彼が在家の生活を捨てて出家するならば、世の覆いを取り除いた応供（アラハン）・正等覚者（サンマーサンブッダ）となるのである。されどアンバッタよ、わたくしこそは讃歌を授ける者である。」「さようでございます」と、バラモンのポッカラサーティの弟子たるアンバッタ青年は答えた。
