But after some time they were released from jail, safe and sound, with no loss of wealth. Thinking about this, they’d be filled with joy and happiness. Suppose a person was a bondservant. They would not be their own master, but indentured to another, unable to go where they wish. But after some time they’d be freed from servitude. しかるに後の時に、その者が獄舎より解き放たれ、身の安全を得て、財産に何らの損失もなく釈放されたとする。そのことを思い起こし、その者は喜び（パーモッジャ）を得て、悦楽（ソーマナッサ）に達するであろう。
大王よ、たとえばある人が奴隷の身分にあり、自らに主権なく、他者に隷属して、望むところへ赴く自由もないとする。しかるに後の時に、その者が奴隷の境涯より解き放たれ、自らに主権を有し、他者に隷属せず、望むところへ自由に赴くことのできる解放された身となったとする。そのことを思い起こし、その者は喜び（パーモッジャ）を得て、悦楽（ソーマナッサ）に達するであろう。
大王よ、たとえばある人が財産と資産を持ちながら、険しく遠い荒野の道に踏み入ったとする。
