善悪の業（カンマ）に果報（パーリ語：phala vipāka）が存在しないのか……善悪の業に果報が存在しかつ存在しないのか……善悪の業に果報が存在するのでもなく存在しないのでもないのか……如来（タターガタ）は死後もなお存在するのか……如来は死後にはもはや存在しないのか……如来は死後に存在しかつ存在しないのか……如来は死後に存在するのでもなく存在しないのでもないのか。
もしそなたが「如来は死後に存在するのでもなく存在しないのでもない」と問うならば、まことにそのようであると確信するならば、「如来は死後に存在するのでもなく存在しないのでもない」とそなたに答えるであろう。
