‘Cha ajjhattikāni āyatanāni veditabbānī’ti— iti yaṁ taṁ vuttaṁ, idametaṁ paṭicca vuttaṁ. Idaṁ paṭhamaṁ chakkaṁ. Evaṁ passaṁ, bhikkhave, sutavā ariyasāvako cakkhusmiṁ nibbindati, rūpesu nibbindati, cakkhuviññāṇe nibbindati, cakkhusamphasse nibbindati, vedanāya nibbindati, taṇhāya nibbindati.
