これらはいずれも現に生じているものである。もしその現に生じているものに対して、識（ヴィジュニャーナ）が欲貪（チャンダラーガ）に繋縛されるならば、識が欲貪に繋縛されるがゆえに、それを喜び楽しむことになる。そのように喜び楽しむ者は、現に生じている諸法（ダンマ）のうちに沈み溺れる。――友よ、これが現に生じている諸法のうちに沈み溺れるということである。
友よ、眼（チャックhu）と諸々の色形（ルーパ）と、これらはいずれも現に生じているものである。もしその現に生じているものに対して、識が欲貪に繋縛されるならば、識が欲貪に繋縛されるがゆえに、それを喜び楽しむことになる。そのように喜び楽しむ者は、現に生じている諸法のうちに沈み溺れる。
友よ、耳（ソータ）と諸々の声（サッダ）と……鼻と諸々の香りと……舌と諸々の味と……
