And what are the four blessings? A wheel-turning monarch is attractive, good-looking, lovely, of surpassing beauty, more so than other humans. This is the first blessing. Furthermore, he is long-lived, more so than other humans. This is the second blessing. では、四つの神通（iddhi）とは何であるか。
比丘たちよ、転輪聖王（cakkavattī）は、容姿端麗にして、見目麗しく、優雅な風貌をそなえ、その美しさは他のいかなる人間をも遥かに凌ぐ。比丘たちよ、これが転輪聖王のそなえる第一の神通である。
さらにまた、比丘たちよ、転輪聖王は長命にして、他のいかなる人間よりも遥かに久しく世に留まる。比丘たちよ、これが転輪聖王のそなえる第二の神通である。
さらにまた、比丘たちよ、転輪聖王は病少なく、患うことも少なく、冷えすぎず熱すぎず、その消化の働き（gahaṇī）は均整よく整い、他のいかなる人間よりも遥かに健やかである。比丘たちよ、これが転輪聖王のそなえる第三の神通である。
さらにまた、比丘たちよ、転輪聖王はバラモンたちや〔諸々の人々〕に等しく親しまれ、愛され、敬われること——
