These are the four kinds of rebirth in a future life. What four? Take someone who meditates focused on pervading ‘limited radiance’. これらが、来世における再生（輪廻転生）の四つの在り方（bhavūpapatti）である。いかなる四つであるか。
ここに、ある者は「限られた光輝（parittābhā）」を遍満させることに専念し、それに心を向けて住する。その者は、身体の壊れるとともに、死後、限られた光輝を持つ神々（devā）の仲間に生まれる。
また、ここに、ある者は「無量の光輝（appamāṇābhā）」を遍満させることに専念し、それに心を向けて住する。その者は、身体の壊れるとともに、死後、無量の光輝を持つ神々の仲間に生まれる。
また、ここに、ある者は「汚れた光輝（saṅkiliṭṭhābhā）」を遍満させることに専念し、それに心を向けて住する。その者は、身体の壊れるとともに、死後、汚れた光輝を持つ神々の仲間に生まれる。
