「大海に囲まれたこの大地を、広大なるもの（mahaggatā）として遍く満たしながら、そのように心を定めて住する」——これもまた、在家の方よ、広大なる心解脱（cetovimutti）と呼ばれるものであります。
在家の方よ、これらの事柄がいかに意味においても文言においても異なるかは、まさにこの道理によって知られるべきであります。
すなわち在家の方よ、ここにある比丘が、ただ一本の樹の根もとほどの範囲を、広大なるものとして遍く満たしながら、そのように心を定めて住する——これが、在家の方よ、広大なる心解脱（cetovimutti）と呼ばれるものであります。
また在家の方よ、ある比丘が、二つあるいは三つの樹の根もとほどの範囲を……一つの村落の区域を……二つあるいは三つの村落の区域を……広大なるものとして遍く満たしながら、そのように心を定めて住する。
