「スナッカッタよ、そなたはどう思うか。その人は、再びその食物を食べたいと思うであろうか」「いいえ、尊師よ、そうは思いますまい」「それはなぜか」「尊師よ、その食物はすでに厭わしいもの（paṭikūla）と見なされているからでございます」「スナッカッタよ、まさにそれと同じように、非想非非想処（nevasaññānāsaññāyatana）に心を向けている人は、無所有処（ākiñcaññāyatana）への結縛（saṁyojana）をすでに吐き捨てているのである。その者についてはこのように知られるべきである——『この人は、無所有処に関わる結縛から離れているがゆえに、非想非非想処に心を向けているのだ』と。スナッカッタよ、ここにおいて、ある人が正しく涅槃（nibbāna）に心を向けている、ということは十分にあり得ることである——」
