「アーナンダよ、汝はどう思うか。わたしが直接の知慧（abhiññā）によって説き示した諸法、すなわち四念処（cattāro satipaṭṭhānā）・四正勤（cattāro sammappadhānā）・四神足（cattāro iddhipādā）・五根（pañcindriyāni）・五力（pañca balāni）・七覚支（satta bojjhaṅgā）・八聖道（ariyo aṭṭhaṅgiko maggo）について、これらの法に関して異なる見解を持つ比丘が、二人たりとも存在するとおもうか」と。
