腹這いに地を這うものたちがいる。
「ヴァーセッタよ」と世尊は仰せられた。
「それらは生（じゃあti）によって定められる、
なぜなら種（しゅ）はまことに多様であるから。
次に魚（さかな）を知れ、水（みず）を行域（ぎょういき）とするものを。
それらは生（じゃあti）によって定められる、
なぜなら種（しゅ）はまことに多様であるから。
次に鳥（とり）を知れ、翼ある乗り物、虚空（こくう）を翔（かけ）るものを。」
