in that very seat the stainless, immaculate vision of the Dhamma arose in the brahmin Brahmāyu: “Everything that has a beginning has an end.” Then Brahmāyu saw, attained, understood, and fathomed the Dhamma. まさにその座において、バラモンのブラフマーユに、汚れなく垢のない法眼（ダンマチャックhu）が生じた。「生起する性質を持つものは、すべて滅する性質を持つ」と。
かくしてバラモンのブラフマーユは、法を見、法に達し、法を知り、法を深く究め、疑惑を超え、迷いを去り、師の教えについて他に依ることなく自らの確信を得て、世尊に向かってこのように申し上げた。
「素晴らしい、ゴータマ尊者よ、素晴らしい。譬えば、倒れたものを起こし、覆われたものを顕わし、迷える者に道を示し、暗闇の中に灯火を掲げて……」
