「バラモンのみが清浄であり、バラモンならざる者は清浄ではない。バラモンのみが梵天（ブラフマン）の真の息子であり、その口より生まれ、梵天より生まれ、梵天によって造られ、梵天の遺産を受け継ぐ者である」と。
「では、大王よ、あなたはそのような者たちをいかに遇されるのですか」
「カッチャーナよ、わたくしは彼らに礼拝し、あるいは席を立って迎え、あるいは座を勧めるでしょう。また、衣（チーヴァラ）・食（ピンダパータ）・臥坐具（センアーサナ）・病者のための薬品や資具をもって彼らをもてなし、招待するでしょう。さらに、法にかなった護り・守護・安全をも整えるでしょう。それはなぜかといえば、カッチャーナよ、彼らはかつての『クシャトリヤ（刹帝利）』という称号をすでに失い、もはや沙門（サマナ）と呼ばれる者の数に入るからです」
