「しかしながら、わたしは『これ以上に優れた、これ以上に勝れた光輝（vaṇṇa）はない』とは説かない。しかるにウダーイよ、汝は蛍（khajjopanaka）にも劣る光輝を指して『これこそ最上の光輝（paramo vaṇṇo）なり』と言いながら、その光輝をいまだ明示することができないでいる。」
