There’s no cause or reason for the purification of sentient beings. Sentient beings are purified without cause or reason. There is no power, no energy, no human strength or vigor. All sentient beings, all living creatures, all beings, all souls lack control, power, and energy. 「有情（うじょう）の清浄（しょうじょう）には、いかなる因（いん）もなく、いかなる縁（えん）もない。有情は、因なく縁なくして清浄となる。力もなく、精進（しょうじん）もなく、人の勇健もなく、人の努力もない。すべての有情、すべての生きとし生けるもの、すべての存在、すべての命あるものは、自在なることなく、力なく、精進なく、ただ宿命（にやーてぃ）と境遇（さんがてぃ）と本性（ばーわ）とによりて形づくられ、六種の生類（しょうるい）において苦楽（くらく）を受けるのみ』と。
サンダカよ、かかる教えに対して、賢明なる人はこのように熟考するであろう——『これは梵行（ぼんぎょう）の住処（すみか）たり得ない』と。かくと知りて、その梵行を厭離（えんり）し、そこを去るのである。
『この尊師はかくのごとく説き、かくのごとく見る——』」
